Barnes' Almanack is a virtual font of information on life and conditions, industry and social affairs in the province of New Brunswick in the year 1871.

For genealogists it's a treasure trove. There are thousands of names, including everry public official in New Brunswick, all the custom houses, consuls, banks, post-office departments and church officials, etc. etc. etc.

All the personages are named, the Court and Supreme Court: the roll of Attorneys and Barristers alone is five pages - and that is in small print!

These excerpts are primarily for the use of genealogists with an interest in the province of New Brunswick during the year 1871. Please feel free to copy this work for genealogical purposes.
