Catholic Church and vital statistic records

The CARLETON records, on the Gaspé coast, cover from 1759 to 1861 and contain 14 volumes of the records divided into 7 books for a total of about 900 pages.

The BONAVENTURE records cover from 1791 to 1855 and contain 9 volumes of records divided into 2 books and have a total of 525 pages.

Compiled in chronological order, separated and indexed at each volume, they follow the missionary priests in their missions and contain births, baptisms, marriages and burials and other information from the different ethnics (Acadian and others) including the First Nation encountered during those missions. Complétés en ordre chronologique, séparés et indexés à chaque volume, ils suivent les prêtres missionnaires dans leurs voyages et contiennent les actes de naissances, baptêmes, mariages et sépultures et autres informations de différentes ethnies (Acadiens et autres) ainsi que les Premières Nations rencontrés dans ces missions.
